There is nothing she can't do: sewing, patchwork, knitting, felting, glass work, mosaics -you name it. Maybe it is because Sisse gets so easily bored with doing the same thing over and over again that she keeps looking for a new challenge. On flawlessonline.co.uk, her collection is very varied and produced in small numbers, "I don't like working under pressure or work on something that has to be done within a certain time frame. I simply enjoy doing what I am doing." Sisse is a huge inspiration for Flawless Founder, Mette...maybe it is because she is her mum.

Stephanie Williams Stephanie used to love watching her mother sew when she was a kid growing up in New Zealand. She tried not to disturb her too much, especially when she was making something for her! She must have watched a lot, because she was only 10 when she started to make her own clothes and presents for friends. Today Stephanie lives in Holland after a long stay in London also. She enjoys being a full time mum a full time mum after having her daughter in 2006 and she is as productive as ever. She puts it this way: "I love the fact that i no longer have a 9-5 job and can spend time with my daughter. I am always thinking of new things to sew and now drag my daughter to material shops just like my mum used to do with me. I hope the love of sewing rubs off on her".
Stefania Flawless people are every where! Stefania lives in what most people would call "in the middle of no where" in Iceland and it is a miracle that we have met her at all! She works on her own but have good friends who are fashion designers too in Iceland. They even set up their won fashion shows. Stefania describes herself as a fashion freak and she has always made her own clothes, simply because this is what you do when you live so remote. She says: When I was young I lived on a farm in the east of Iceland. Of course there were no fashionistas there and people made their own clothes, and so did I since i was a teenager. My clothes always seems to take their own shape and style, as if they have a mind of their own. But I always wore my own stuff and it always made me feel good about myself. Later, friends and family started to place order and this is how I became a designer." |
